Hello friends of Chuck and Doug or both,
When we started the Living the Lord’s Prayer book project, Chuck communicated to Doug who the key guys would be for stories, testimonies, endorsements, quotes. He doesn’t have a contact list, just a phone. He wrote down names on a paper plate, and then went through his phone and texted contact info one by one. And more trickled in over time.
Yup, that’s our Chuck: simple, effective, but not exactly contact management 101! Doug likes keeping things simple and casual as well, but in this upcoming launch season, some key friends (Valerie, Sarah, Darren, Elijah, Josh…) are helping us – and we’re asking you to join us –in the mission “To inspire, introduce, and re-introduce readers to the Lord of the Lord’s prayer.”
Our Launch Date – a very focused date at which we’re asking for your significant and timely help – is Tuesday, May 13th. Between now and then, we’re hoping you’ll help us in some specific ways:
- Pass the word on to your Pastor, Mens’ or Family Pastor, Organization Leader, Company Leader, anyone of influence with whom you could share your excitement about the book and ask them to join our info list at LivingTheLordsPrayer.com; then you can cut ’n paste it on launch day.
- Draft a review for Amazon from your advance read of the book, to go along with your 5-star rating for posting on launch day;
- Plan to purchase at least one copy at the right time on May 13th, and hopefully copies for your friends, family, small group, team, or just to have with you to hand out;
- Post a picture of yourself holding the book – or just a picture of the cover and back cover – on your social media site(s);
- Please put us in contact of those you know who host shows, podcasts, guest blogs, or wherever else Chuck or Doug could appear / write / speak / Zoom or whatever may work;
- Pray, pray, pray, for the Lord to use this book about His prayer in a big way for many people;
- Call or write or text or send note with carrier pigeon if you have other promotion ideas.
The Living the Lord’s Prayer story is about Chucks 8-plus year journey immersed in the “Lord’s Prayer.” The value-add for readers is seeing how Jesus’ words in the prayer are “clues” to “truths” to be revealed in His life and the scriptures, that become “tools” for us in our daily experience of Life That is Truly Life, and the very tools Jesus leaned on to get through the Gethsemane temptation. “Thy will not mine,” He said. Then He went to the cross, winning the spiritual battle once and for all for the sake of us and all whom we love. And then rose from the dead to prove it was all true.
